NINE INCH NAILS: Drummer ALEX CARAPETIS Out

December 9, 2005

According to a posting on The NIN Hotline, NINE INCH NAILS appear to have parted ways with recently recruited drummer Alex Carapetis. Replacing him on the band's current tour — at least temporarily is A PERFECT CIRCLE's Josh Freese.

NINE INCH NAILS' previous skinsman, Jerome Dillon, was forced to leave the band in early October after suffering an unspecified heart condition.

NINE INCH NAILS have announced a number of new North American shows beginning on February 10 in Champaign, Illinois. Support acts for the run have not yet been announced.

NINE INCH NAILS have several concerts remaining this month, including a December 10 performance in Los Angeles as part of the annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show. The two-day event also features SYSTEM OF A DOWN, KORN, FALL OUT BOY, DEPECHE MODE, COLDPLAY and THE WHITE STRIPES, among others.

NINE INCH NAILS are continuing to tour in support of their latest album, "With Teeth", which has sold 794,000 copies in the United States since its May release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
